ANTAI's 2024 annual report showcases the Agency's dynamic performance and the ongoing diversification of its roles, which now span an ever-wider array of public safety and security policies.

« Since it was established in 2011, the scope of ANTAI's services has steadily grown and diversified. 2024 once again demonstrated this trend: from road safety to tackling anti-social behaviour and managing mobility, the range of fixed fines processed by ANTAI – whether for contraventions or misdemeanours – has never been so wide, and there are more challenges to address than ever before.

A key highlight of 2024 was the continued implementation of fixed fines for certain offences under the Ministry of the Interior's Orientation and Programming Law, which has been a major focus for ANTAI's teams. Collaborative efforts between ANTAI departments enabled the launch of pilot schemes for four new fixed fines for misdemeanours in 2024 (penalising offences involving unlawful possession of Category D weapons; traffic obstruction; stadium pitch invasions; and unauthorised introduction of alcohol into sporting venues), bringing the total number of fixed fines for misdemeanours issued by ANTAI to 14.

With 1.5 million fixed penalty offences recorded and registered by the National Processing Centre between the end of 2018 and the end of 2024 – including 497,000 in 2024 alone – this increase clearly illustrates how ANTAI is at the forefront of both efficiency and modernisation in criminal justice policy. »
